Services

The following six Facilities Operations Shops are under the direct supervision of Kathryn Leverton, Associate Vice President for Facilities and Administrative Services:

Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

The HVAC Shop’s focus is to perform routine and preventive maintenance of all heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems at The College.  Part of these duties includes yearly steam shutdowns to service the steam lines to ensure proper operation throughout the Campus.  Doug McCausland is the Supervisor of the HVAC Shop; he can be reached at extension 3224.

Plumbing

The main focus of the Plumbing Shop is to maintain and repair all of the plumbing needs on campus, including the fire suppression systems, eye-wash systems, steam and hot water heating systems, domestic water for cooking and bathing, and the RODI Water for Science applications.  The Plumbing Shopalso installs numerous plumbing fixtures throughout the Campus.  James Heisler, the Plumbing Shop Crew Supervisor can be reached at extension 2031.

Electric

The Electric Shop provides preventive and routine maintenance and repairs to all interior and exterior electrical lighting and power systems on campus including fire alarm systems and generators.  The Electric Shop also conducts power shutdowns two times a year to ensure high voltage equipment is in excellent condition to eliminate unexpected power outages.  Alex Novak is the Electric Shop Crew Supervisor; he can be reached at extension 2030.

Minor alterations and repairs:

Housing Repair (Residence Hall)

Basic repairs within the residence halls and the Brower Student Center are handled by the Housing Repair Shop, which includes light carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting.  Bill Yeager is the Housing Repair Shop Crew Supervisor; he can be reached at extension 3284.

Carpenter/Paint/Masonry/Roofing Shop

This shop handles carpentry repairs to buildings and furnishings, the creating and hanging of all campus signs, all interior and exterior painting as well as furniture repair.  Masonry repairs as well as roofing and gutter preventive and routine maintenance and repair are handled through this shop.  The Crew Supervisor is Pete Ratzlaff; he can be reached at extension 2032.
